South African rap star ProKid, (born Linda Mkhize) tragically passed away after the 37-year-old suffered "a severe seizure attack whilst visiting friends," his family said in a statement released Wednesday (Aug 8).
Many of ProKid's fans were distraught after news broke of his death. Many lauded him as a pioneer in the South African hip-hop scene and was best known for two hits, Abagcwali and Ghetto Science.
Mkhize was pronounced dead at 8:38 PM on after paramedics were unable to revive him.
