Smokepurpp Says He Changing His Name to "Purpp"

Smokepurpp may not exist anymore according to the rapper himself. During a spot on Complex's Open Late with Peter Rosenberg, Smokepurpp discussed a number of topics rangings from XXXTentacion, his personal drug use, among other things. But he went into his plans for the future and considers a name change a necessary step.

"I'm actually gonna change it to just Purpp soon. I want to drop the Smoke out my name, [...] People just call me Smokepurpp or Lil Purpp but there's too many lil's, so I kind of just want to be Purpp. At a point, I'm just gonna be Purpp."
