According to TMZ, Colin Kaepernick's name will be added back into Madden NFL '19 after video from fans with early release copies revealed that Kaepernick's name was removed from Big Sean's verse on YG's "Big Bank" on the game.

Both YG and Big Sean spoke out against EA Sports' decision to remove Kaepernick's name from the song, and YG demanded an apology, which the entertainment powerhouse delivered. EA Sports released a statement, which read, "We made an unfortunate mistake with our Madden NFL soundtrack. Members of our team misunderstood the fact that while we don’t have rights to include Colin Kaepernick in the game, this doesn’t affect soundtracks."

EA added that Kaepernick's name will be in the August 6 release of the game.
