According to The Blast, Kodak Black will reportedly be released on August 18, one month earlier than originally expected. Kodak's legal team filed and were granted a motion to get Kodak an additional 30 days served to complete his 120-day sentence.

In April, Kodak Black was facing 12 years in prison for violating his probation when he was seen on Instagram Live with marijuana and guns. His lawyer argued that there was no way to prove that the guns or drugs were real or props for a music video. The charges, including a charge of child neglect, were dropped and Kodak was sentenced to a year in prison.

While locked up, Kodak completed his GED, which he said felt "Like The Day I Bought My First Chain."
