After JAY-Z and Beyoncé dropped the video for "Ape Sh**" set at the world-famous Louvre museum in Paris, which racked up over 60 million views, prompted the museum to create a self-guided tour to honor the pop culture power couple. The 17 pieces of art that are featured in the Carters' music video have been transformed into a tour highlighting each work and giving its historical context and significance.

Syracuse University professor Robert Thompson told Moneyish, “Beyoncé and JAY-Z have essentially become backdoor curators of one of the world’s greatest art collections because they have taken those 17 works and suddenly escalated them to the top of the Louvre.” Thompson who teaches in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications continued, “The Louvre’s 17 must-see pieces are now the ones that they chose; their own greatest hits.”
