With LeBron James joining the Los Angeles Lakers, the expectations of competing for a championship are sweeping across Laker Nation. LeBron's arrival also spells out the departure for a few players due to trades and expiring contracts. One such player is Lonzo Ball who the Lakers drafted number two overall in the 2017 NBA Draft. With LA looking to bring in Kawhi Leonard and since the Spurs are asking for all the Lakers' young talent to compensate for Kawhi, Lonzo's name has necessarily been in the mix.

However, there is growing speculation according to ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski that due to the possibility of being traded, Lonzo and his reps leaked information about his knee injury to caution teams against trading for him.
