Spotify finds itself in a peculiar position following the death of 20-year-old XXXTentacion. Just recently the streaming service took XXX's music down in conjunction with a new policy they were implementing called the "Hateful Conduct Policy." The objective was to weed out the artists who were accused of doing something morally reprehensible.

Fast forward to today and XXXTentacion is the most streamed artist and Spotify made a very hypocritical move by promoting XXX's music just as his streams starting soaring. Users of the platform were outraged by the posthumous promotion of his music now that he's deceased.

Should Spotify be under fire for the decision to promote XXXTentacion's music?
