Two hours before his untimely death, XXXTentacion wrote about "Planning a charity event in Florida this weekend." According to The Blast, the late rapper was organizing a charity event to bring awareness to preventing suicide, a cause that was close to his heart.
One of X's friends, Joceyln Flores, took her life in a hotel room after visiting the rapper, leading him to name a song after her. The lyrics to the song revealed that XXXTentacion was having a difficult time dealing with her death.
"I know you’re somewhere, somewhere/I’ve been trapped in my mind, girl, just holdin' on/I don’t wanna pretend we’re somethin', we’re nothin'/I’ve been stuck thinkin' ‘bout her, I can’t hold on."
The charity event that was supposed to take place this weekend was reportedly one of many he had lined up for the future.
