Following the news of XXXTentacion's death following a shooting in Deerfield Beach, Florida, today, a flood of comments came from the hip-hop community.
Rappers including those who knew X, like Lil Yachty, spoke out about the "Look at Me" rapper's positivity and the messages that he spread to the youth. Kanye West also spoke out, saying that he never told X "how much you inspired me when you were here," in a message posted to Twitter.
