A convicted sex offender, highly distinguishable by the fact that he lacks a nose, was busted last week in Arkansas for allegedly being in possession of child pornography, according to police.

35-year-old Joshua Glen Box was indicted on June 5 by a federal grand jury on “four counts of receiving material involving the sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of possessing material involving the sexual exploitation of a minor, with the victim being younger than 12,” according to local outlet KSFM.

Box was initially convicted of possession of child pornography in August 2015. At the time, authorities discovered thousands of images of children either nude or engaged in sexual activity. He was given a "classification level," meaning he had a chance of offending again.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office posted a notice in May that Box, a "level 2" sex offender, had moved to the area.

"THE OFFENDER IS NOT WANTED BY THE POLICE AT THIS TIME. THE NOTIFICATION IS NOT INTENDED TO INCREASE FEAR; RATHER IT IS OUR BELIEF THAT AN INFORMED PUBLIC IS A SAFER PUBLIC," read the Sheriff's Office Facebook post in part.

"The Washington County Sheriff’s Office has no legal authority to direct where a sex offender lives. Unless court ordered restrictions exist, this offender is constitutionally free to live wherever he chooses."

It's not known what caused Box's facial injuries.
