A Florida Man was arrested after he allegedly called the police to test drugs he purchased a week earlier. According to CNN, Douglas Kelly, 49, was arrested on Tuesday after police said he called authorities to test drugs he bought because he wanted to press charges against the person who sold them to him.

Police said that Kelly told officers that he had a bad reaction to what he thought was meth. However, Kelly allegedly told officers he thought he was deceived and given another illegal drug.

“In an effort to ensure the quality of the drug the suspect purchased, detectives told Kelly if he came to the sheriff’s office they could test the narcotic he purchased,” the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office wrote in a Facebook post.

Police said Kelly drove to the Putnam County police station and handed officers a clear crystallized substance for testing. Once the substance tested positive for meth, Kelly was arrested and charged with possession. He was book into Putnam County jail.

"If you believe you were sold bad drugs, we are offering a free service to test them for you," the Facebook post said. "Remember, our detectives are always ready to assist anyone who believes they were misled in their illegal drug purchase.”
