The news emerged via Social Media that 03 Greedo has recreated 2 Pac's famous "Makaveli" album artwork for his own album cover God Level.
Jason Jamal Jackson, 30, known in the hip-hop and rap scene as 03 Greedo first gained recognition for Purple Summer, his mixtape series that he commenced in 2016. Born and bred in LA, sadly, O3 Greedo was sentenced to 20 years in prison for drug and gun possession.
The rapper had promised his fans he'd continue releasing new music during his sentence. So far, he has shared his first single from the new album God Level and only today, he announced the artwork for the album cover.
03 Greedo's album cover is not just a reference to, but a total replica of 2Pac's cover art for his final album Makaveli.
03 Greedo, in his original Instagram post explains:
"This album will change music forever. I am a pioneer. I didnt mean to disrespect anyone that did this before me. But they threw the bait n me being greedy i ate. I love u #geehive🐝🐝🐝 n i will still drop albums til im bacc. I apologize if anything ive done offended you but im myself. N i do this for us. We need to be more like #03. Just do what u want n die like that. I dont have beef with any rappers especially a fallen legend. I just feel like i am the new tupac!!!"
