The words that Nick Young had to capture the essence of winning his first NBA Finals championship in the 11 years he's been a professional basketball player may not have been inspirational, but they were quintessentially Nick Young.

When approached by reporters in the locker room after Golden State's sweeping victory, Young was litty, giddy, and bound to say something silly. The 33-year-old journeyman had just contributed a menial three points (on one-for-four shooting) to the 108-85 final score of 2017-18's last game - but it is no secret that Young's impact with a team like the Warriors at this stage in his career is more-so delivered off of the court. The remark he provided to sum the moment up showed exactly how.

"Aye, look man... I came a long way from having [sic]... I went from getting snitched on to putting a ring on," said a wide-smiling, glazy-eyed Young.

His remark was, of course, another slight directed at former teammate, D'Angelo Russell - who was ultimately responsible for breaking his engagement to Iggy Azalea up when he leaked a video he secretly took of the big homie confessing to infidelity. The splash that the story made in the media and its impact on the 2016 Lakers' locker room chemistry would eventually lead to both men being shown the door from the organization.

With Russell now leading a Brooklyn Nets team that finished 12th in the East, and Young gearing up for a ticker-tape parade, it is pretty clear which of the two of them wouldn't care to have to do it all over again.
