The owner of a downtown food cart in Portland was arrested after throwing a Gatorade bottle at a customer and spraying her with Sriracha sauce after she attempted to pay for her lunch with quarters.

The video was taken by the alleged victim, Carlotta Washington. It shows Islam Elmasry who runs the Small Pharoah's halal cart, arguing with a black woman, who claims Elmasry called her the n-word after she tried to pay with quarters.

In the video, Elmasry can be seen telling her to "get the f--k away" from the cart. He then throws a Gatorade bottle at her, causing her to drop her phone. Washington can be heard screaming "You don't do that to people!" She says that Elmasry then sprayed her with Sriracha sauce, but it is not captured in the video as her phone remained on the floor for some time. Witnesses, however, can be heard screaming "That's wrong" just as Washington asks for the police to be called before the video abruptly ends.

"It was in my eyes and all on my skin. It was burning terribly," Washington says.

According to witness Rachel Good, who provided Willamette Week with the victim's video, she approached the cart right after the initial assault and she found the victim's shirt, face, and shoulders covered with Sriracha sauce.

Elmasry was arrested for misdemeanor assault and harassment charges and was booked into Multnomah County jail. His bail was set at $4,000.
