Tekashi69 is now singing a different tune.
The Brooklyn rapper initially recorded a video saying f--k Chicago rappers Chief Keef and Lil Reese. Chief Keef briefly came to New York City soon after and shots were fired at him outside the W Hotel in Times Square but luckily the assailants missed. There was speculation that the shooters were sent by 69, who was in Los Angeles at the time of the incident. During an interview with TMZ, however, Tekashi says he doesn't have any beef with Chief Keef, in fact, he's a "fan."
While speaking with "TMZ Live," Tekashi says Chief Keef is a "gangsta rapper who promotes violence" and that he likely has a lot of beef in the streets and people who want to hurt him. 69 says he doesn't know who those people are but it's definitely not him. When asked flat out if he had anything to do with the shooting, Tekashi says he's never shot a gun in his life.
As far as all the beefs he's been involved in lately, Tekashi says he's not worried at all and "people die every day." When asked about possibly putting his fans at risk at his shows, Tekashi threw a jab at rapper J. Cole.
"I think my fans are not like pu--y... My fans love craziness, they don't wanna come to a J. Cole show," said Tekashi69.
