Platinum-selling rapper J. Cole's childhood home in Fayetteville, North Carolina was reportedly vandalized over the weekend. "J. Cole...do you even care about the Ville?" was spray painted across the front of the home. A photo of the vandalized property was posted to Facebook, but by Monday the words had been painted over.

J. Cole's management would not confirm when the vandalism happened and Fayetteville police say the incident was not officially reported.

The photo was shared more than 300 times on Facebook, sparking debate over the rapper's involvement in his hometown. Ironically, Cole plans on turning the home into a rent-free home for single mothers and their families.

"My goal is to have that be a haven for a family," Cole said in a 2016 interview on the Combat Jack Show podcast. "So every two years, a new family will come in and live rent-free. The idea is that it's a single mother with multiple kids. I want her kids to feel how I felt when we got the house."

The address of the home is the namesake of Cole's third album, which features Cole sitting on top of the roof on the album's cover. The popularity of the album has drawn crowds to the famous address, some even attempting to climb the residence and recreate the album cover.
