Last night at the Governors Ball in the pouring rain, Eminem gushed about Nicki Minaj to thousands of fans. He shouted to the ecstatic crowd, "Nicki, let's do this!," adding "I'm gonna tell you something about Nicki she don't even know... We go together."
Eminem was the final performer of Gov Ball 2018 and attracted thousands of people from all over the country and the world. They all united when Eminem started the show by projecting himself as a King Kong-style guru, hitting the screaming kids with "Medicine Man."
During 28 songs he performed, he was accompanied by some songs by Mr. Porter, PHresher, 50 Cent, Skyler Grey, and Royce. He also had a live instrumental band playing all throughout. Aside from the giant screen projecting Eminem in the apocalyptic city, the special effects included insane fireworks bursting into the air.
It is right when he finished "Sing for the Moment" and before "Just Don’t Give a F***" that Eminem delivered a message to Nicki Minaj. "I'm going to tell you something about Nicki that she don't even know. I know she's gonna see this," he said to Mr. Porter. "Nicki! Let's do this! We go together! That's all I wanted to say. Thank you for letting me get that off my chest."
Skyler Grey came out for "Walk on Water," "Stan," and "Love the Way You Lie." During "Stan," it was pouring down with rain pretty heavily, but that did not scare the Eminem fans off. PHresher and 50 Cent kept them going, too. Eminem dedicated "River" to the ladies during which he voiced with nostalgia, "Can I take you back to a time when we used to get f***ed up?"
