Friday is definitely on its way thanks to Ice Cube.
It's been over 20 years since the original Friday hit the big screen. The cult classic made its mark in cinema with the help of Chris Tucker as trusty sidekick, Smokey, and F. Gary Gary in the director seat.
Though so much time has passed while sequels and character changes came and went, fans still can't get enough of Craig's mischievous antics with his cousin, Day-Day, played by Mike Epps. That's why there's much anticipation for the latest conclusion of the franchise.
Movie lovers have been teased with cast pictures and videos on social media through Epps. As well as, subtle tweets from star Ice Cube. When one fan had enough and decided to ask Cube for an update on where they are at with the progress of making the fourth film, the former N.W.A. rapper now-entertainment mogul simply replied, "Finishing script."
Just little words were just enough to light a fire under movie-waiters building back up any excitement that may have fizzled out. Friday hit over $6 million during its opening weekend in 1995, and the numbers have gone up ever since. Hopefully, the long hiatus will bring in box office result many are hoping for.
