Update: Talib Kweli has responded to Res' accusations of him reportedly taking her career hostage, as well as claims of sexual harassment. The Brooklyn rapper took to Twitter and responded with a screenshot of a court document from the dismissed case between both parties.

Take a look above.

Talib Kweli is never one to back down from an argument on Twitter. Today was no different as Kweli and a former groupmate; Res had a heated exchange on social media today. The singer was once signed to Kweli's imprint Javotti Media. The war of words began with the singer threatening to expose her former mentor for "taking her career hostage."

She claims that their communication is broken and Talib Kweli stopped answering calls altogether, with her album ready for release. Res attempted to bait him into a public argument, but Kweli remained silent until unveiling proof that her claims were false. He reportedly posted a "breach of contract" lawsuit from 2013.

Res says Kweli could have just called her and sorted out their contractual issues. She stated that they were friends and shouldn't have to resort to e-mail exchanges to get their point across. Res went on to say that Kweli "leaves his female artists in the dust if he can't sleep with them."

Kweli responded, pointing to the fact her allegations were already dismissed in the court of law. Shortly after he defended himself, Res blocked him from responding to her tweets, and the Twitter exchange ended.

Her album Reset remains unreleased even after reportedly launching an Indiegogo campaign that brought in $39,000.
