The law has caught up with Famous Dex this week in New York.

City law enforcement was able to bring Dex in thanks to an outstanding warrant on Thursday. The rapper was found at the Royalton Park Avenue hotel in Manhattan, according to TMZ. Because he was with a group of people reportedly being investigated for credit card fraud, it didn't take long for him to get wrapped up in the mess once his warrant popped up in the system.

That's when things went downhill for the "Pick It Up," artist, who already had a warrant out for missing a past court date due to a public drinking violation.

The publication also detailed that there was also a citation for marijuana possession, but no relation to the credit card fraud based on a source close to Dex.

On a lighter note, the rapper's Dex Meets Dexter Tour is scheduled to pop off June 2nd in Atlanta. Hopefully, everything will get cleared up so he can complete his 19-city journey through America. Fans can also look forward to an appearance at Hot 97's Summer Jam concert.

Details on his current jail stint haven't been given to the public yet. Stay locked for more updates.
