The release of Pusha T's latest album, Daytona, is arguably the best body of work that has been released this year in the hip-hop realm. Pusha's ability to stay in pocket over sample-heavy, dark Kanye West-produced beats while delivering intricate cocaine/drug dealer bars is always a pleasant surprise and well-received within the culture. The once Clipse member also poked the sleeping bear in Drake that drew him to release a track of his own riddled with shots at the G.O.O.D Music label President as well as its founder in Kanye West.

But, what sparked the most outrage about Pusha T's latest offering isn't embedded in the audio but the cover artwork of Whitney Houston's bathroom during the peak of her drug use. Many were outraged and brought their thoughts and energy to multiple social media platforms displeased with his choice of album artwork which has guided Pusha to address the reasoning why he chose to use the photograph as an expression of his musical composition.

While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Pusha stated the following about the choice of artwork, "I feel like the cover represents an organized chaos. The energy of the album is a bit chaotic, but it's all in place. And looking at that cover, I'm sure whoever frequents that bathroom or that area knew exactly whatever they wanted to find and knew where it was."

Even though the album cover is considered controversial, it still evokes emotion, and that's exactly what good art does. Drop your thoughts on the album cover in the comment section below.
