Kanye West is at the center of yet another controversy after unveiling the album cover for Pusha-T's latest effort DAYTONA, which features a 2006 tabloid photo of Whitney Houston‘s bathroom covered in drug paraphernalia. According to reports, Whitney Houston's cousin says it made him "sick to his stomach" when he saw it.

Damon Elliott, a music producer himself, spoke about Kanye's decision to use the picture in a recent interview with PEOPLE. He reportedly didn’t find out about the album artwork until his daughter called him about it.

She was frantic. She sent me this picture from the album cover, and I immediately got sick to my stomach because it took me right back to six years ago,” Elliot said.

I was actually in shock because I’m in the music business,” he continued. He also mentioned that he has a prior relationship with West, as the two worked on a Keyshia Cole song together years ago. Elliot said Kanye could have reached out to him before he decided to license the photo.

To do something for a publicity stunt to sell records, it’s absolutely disgusting. It hurt my family and my daughter. It’s petty. It’s tacky.”

The picture of the bathroom in her Atlanta home was first made public in the National Enquirer in 2006. Word quickly spread on social media that the photo is from the night she passed, but that wasn't the case.
