Lil Wayne is a legend in the hip-hop game. He has dropped a catalog of amazing albums, and even more impressive mixtapes. There was a point in time, between 2005 and 2009, where Lil Wayne was releasing so much music it was hard to keep up. The Young Money creator recently did a short interview with Viceland, and he spoke about being an important influence on the younger generation.

"How do you feel about being an icon to all of these kids man?," asked the reporter. "First and foremost I'm humbled," responded Wayne. "As far as the kids and being anything positive for the kids, you go a little deeper and find out that I was a straight-A student," continued Wayne. "I went to the best school in New Orleans, and that I graduated early. So you can know that education was important first, and also that you know I wouldn't even be able to rap without education."
