The general public tends to forget that Nike, the world's most profitable sneaker company, is just six decades old. Yet many non-believers would assume that the Swoosh would forever hold the title of the sneaker throne but with a fickle market and a different generation things can change quickly but, the Oregon-based sneaker empire continues to put out heat adding to the Air Jordan 'Metallic' Collection with this brand new Air Jordan I OG 'Metallic Purple'.

The sneaker features a white leather base complete with a perforated toe box and 'Metallic Purple' detailing that hits the sneaker's ankle collar, the notorious Wings logo, the Jumpman textile canvas tongue patches, shoelaces, Nike Swooshes, embroidered Jumpman logo at the heel of the sneaker and rubber outsoles.

Following the release of the 'Metallic Navy' rendering of the Air Jordan I that dropped in '16 and the 'Metallic Red' version of the kicks that dropped in '17 the 'Metallic Purple' rendition of the classic silhouette that helped Nike and Michael Jordan jump off their multi-billion dollar business venture is set to drop this fall for a retail price tag of $160.
