Tekashi 6ix9ine can add another "W" to his column. The "Gummo" rapper's debut mixtape Day69 has officially been certified gold. "Gummo," "KeKe," and "Kooda" were the lead singles off the project, and Tekashi spent months bragging about how his tracks continued to climb the charts. Although the rainbow-haired rapper does seem to rub people the wrong way, his fan base was strong enough to help him reach the milestone accomplishment.

The news of Day69 being certified gold could not have come at a better time for Tekashi. The rapper is embroiled in a beef with Trippie Redd. The former friends have called each other out for almost everything, including Tekashi telling the world that Redd had sex with underage rapper Bhad Bhabie. Things got real disrespectful when Tekashi told Redd, "f**k your dead homies," prompting Redd to respond by calling his rival's mother and daughter "b****es."

Tekashi is also wanted by authorities for choking a minor in a mall after the kid was recording him. Allegedly, the kid was insulting Tekashi and harassing him for photos before the rapper snapped and tried to take the camera away while placing his hands around his throat. Hopefully, the good news of Tekashi's success will overshadow the current negative press.
