His mother, Celine Dion, sang "My Heart Will Go On" off of the Titanic soundtrack. It went on to become the eighth best selling single in history. More than twenty years later, Dion's 17-year-old son, Rene-Charles Angelil, is following in her footsteps. Sort of.
Page Six reports Angelil is an aspiring rapper who goes by the pseudonym "Big Tip." He has uploaded a few tracks to Soundcloud, which are a complete departure from his mom's signature sound. He covers a couple of tracks by The Weeknd. "The Apple" appears to be Big Tip's most recently posted song. "Montreal f*** with me, all stars f*** with me, and you best believe that your b***h f*** with me! Mother****** this a New Era fitted for me," the teen raps.
While Celine follows her son on social media, it doesn't appear that she has posted (or reposted) any of his material.
In his Instagram bio, Big Tip says "Catwalks" and "Loft Music Remix" are currently the number one and two R&B tracks (respectively) in Canada right now. Some commenters on his page call him "the new Eminem." They go as far as saying he is "number one, just like his mom."
