He dipped, now his charges are set. USA Today is reporting Juelz Santana has been indicted on a pair of federal firearms charges stemming from a March incident at Newark Liberty airport.

If convicted, Juelz, whose real name is LaRon James, is accused of possessing a firearm as a convicted felon and attempting to carry a loaded weapon on an aircraft. According to the Associated Press, James already has at least two prior felony convictions. If convicted of these new charges, he could face up to ten years in prison.

On March 9th, James was running late for his flight to San Francisco. At the security checkpoint, authorities searched his carry on after its trip through the X-ray machine revealed a gun was inside. TSA officials found the loaded weapon with two .38 caliber rounds. However, that's when they lost James. He took off from the airport in a taxi, also leaving behind his license and boarding pass. Those were the items that identified James.

The 36-year-old rapper was missing for three days before turning himself in. James was in custody until he was released on $500,000 bail to his mother on April 6th. He is under electronic monitoring and now has travel restrictions. The U.S. Attorney's office says he will be arraigned on May 10th.

On social media, Santana is staying mum about the issue. On Wednesday, the same day he was charged, James posted a selfie with the caption, "Trust the Process."
