Tekashi 6ix9ine broke from his string of videos and memes getting at Casanova, on Tuesday, April 24, so that he could pop his collar and celebrate the charting of his latest single, "Gotti," on the Billboard top 100.
Since his breakout onto the rap scene with "Gummo," back in the Fall, 6ix9ine has been keeping track of how many of the singles he's put out have made it on to the coveted list. After "Gummo," there was "Kooda," and then "Keke," and then "Rondo," then "Billy," before "Gotti" came out and switched the vibe up, creating the potential for him to expand his audience beyond those who enjoy his loud raucous sound.
"I don't think Y'all know how hard it is, to f**king make Billboard, in the first place is. We six for f**king six, n**ga," Tekashi says in a video that he put up on social media, which shows an associate holding one of his plaques in the background as his TreyWay manager instructs 6ix9ine from behind the camera. "We six for f**king six, blood ... When I was younger I got caught in the f**king system. Yah aint catching me in the system now, n***a. It ain't f**king happening!" he said.
