A timely jab that Ebro Darden recently took at Kanye West on Twitter would up leading both men into a chance conversation, during which the rap superstar proclaimed that he still does "love Donald Trump." This, according to an account of the discussion as recalled by the Hot 97 DJ during Monday's (April 23) episode of his Ebro In The Morning broadcast.

Ebro spent much of the weekend checking Ye on his latest slavery rant, referring to the Chicago legend as the "trolliest of trolls" who on occasion appears to be using methods of agitation to spark uncomfortable discourse, but at times goes about "cooning for cash." The tweet that apparently drew Kanye's attention, though, was one that Ebro used to suggest that Jay-Z and Beyonce may have stopped messing with him because of the political views Yeezy reinforced with his support of conservative pundit, Candace Owens.

Ebro says that he was contacted by someone very close to Ye's camp and invited to get on the phone to discuss the tweet. At some point during their conversation, Kanye interjected himself from the background, hollering, “we just don’t want to be out here acting like n**gas!” Ebro says.

The radio vet went on to share at length about how Kanye stood his ground whenever confronted about his controversial views. Finally, towards the end of their discussion, he inquired into where Ye now stands on the unpopular president, and the response he got back wasn't one that Ebro nor the old Kanye's fans would have ever hoped to hear.

"Biggest take away from Ebro in the Morning today ... Kanye West is still an avid Donald Trump supporter," Ebro tweeted after disclosing how the dialogue played out on the radio. "You can process that however you like but if you’re waiting for him to say 'my bad' about his Trump statements — don’t hold your breath."
