New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft joined Philadelphia 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin to visit Meek Mill in prison on Tuesday. The pair of sports owners went to the State Correctional Institute in Chester, Pennsylvania, to give Meek some words of support as the rapper is currently serving 2-4 years for parole violation.

“Amazing young man. I know how I’d feel if I was in the situation he is," Kraft told reporters outside the prison. "Every time I see him, I just come away more impressed. He’s very intelligent. And makes it clear to me we have to do something with criminal justice reform."

Last week, Judge Genece Brinkley denied Meek Mill’s bid to be released on bail, according to TMZ. Judge Brinkley cited no reason as to why she rejected the rapper bail, but Meek's lawyer, Joe Tacopina, believes she has resentment towards the rapper. "This ruling from Judge Genece Brinkley simply reaffirms the fact she has turned Meek Mill's case into a personal vendetta," Tacopina told TMZ.

Meek has gained support from many including JAY-Z, Kevin Hart, and Governor of Pennsylvania Tom Wolf. As for Kraft, he feels the whole situation is just “really sad.” "This guy's a great guy. [He] shouldn't be here." Kraft added.
