Cardi B, whose hit "Bodak Yellow" was said to be the one-off hit wonder, has actually proved to everyone that she is indeed a superstar. The highly anticipated album by the Bronx-born rapper, Invasion of Privacy went gold in less 24 hours. According to Bryan Rolli, a contributing writer at Forbes, this success is due to a "technicality."

This incredible achievement can be attributed to Cardi B's Atlantic Records single, "Bodak Yellow." "As Chart Data recently noted, ten-track units equal one album sale," reports Rolli. As such, "Invasion of Privacy has moved 500,000 units solely on the single "Bodak Yellow."

There is more to it, though. "Bodak Yellow" was No. 2 on the Hot 100 for two weeks, just one under Taylor Swift's, "Look What You Made Me Do." Finally, Cardi B took over Swift's spot as No. 1.

Cardi B is the second female rapper in history who scored a solo No. 1 hit on the chart after Lauryn Hill, who was the first one to accomplish that goal in 1998 with "Doo Wop (That Thing)."

Regardless, however, of whether we count "Bodak Yellow" into Invasion of Privacy's equation of success, Cardi B made it. You can listen to Invasion of Privacy on Spotify now.
