Jim Jones believes Supreme owes him and the black community a piece of the company and took to Instagram to express his strong feelings on the matter.

They owe us a piece of th[e] company rappers n my black people had no idea what supreme was we didn’t even know what they was they had that bag and they [k]new who dipset was lol #CultureCreators #TheSet #TBt,” wrote Jones earlier this week.

The caption was featured underneath an older picture of Jones and fellow Dipset member Juelz Santana rocking Supreme t-shirts. The group sported the clothing line and helped it catapult to the immense popularity it enjoys today. Supreme pieces are extremely rare these days and could be purchased in resale locations by enthusiasts and clothing buffs for a hefty price.

And even though Jones helped the company get to this point, he never worked out any kind of long-term deal when he was wearing their gear. He detailed this in an interview with Complex back in 2016. “We might’ve had the hottest T-Shirt they ever did, but they ain’t paying homage. The way I take is that it was a business deal. It was great for the moment but I ain’t get no residuals off of it. You know what I mean? They ain’t paying me no money off of each shirt that they sold, so it is what it is,” he said.
