Mike Epps is one of the most legendary comedians in the game. The veteran funnyman has been making people laugh for decades, much longer than rappers like Tekashi 6ix9ine have even been on the planet. This week, Epps sat down with radio personality DJ Suss One to speak about a number of topics, and Tekashi 6ix9ine's name came up.
"A lot of gangstas is mad at him 'cause he's portraying... to be gangsta," DJ Suss One states, referring to the "Gummo" rapper. "If you real, you wouldn't even be paying attention to him," answers Epps.
"He's 21 years old," says DJ Suss One. "That's the sad part about it," continues Epps. "There's grown men chiming in, threatening this dude and stuff. And I just think they doing it for attention for themselves because, ain't nobody real gonna take that dude serious. They 'gon be laughin."
DJ Suss One continues by stating that he's from the suburbs, so he is a stranger to gang culture. He goes on to reference a particular rapper from Compton who has an issue with Tekashi waving the red flag, insinuating that he is a Blood member. Epps responds by saying that nobody was a gang member at birth and that they joined up "for protection" or because they were "scared." "I tell all the kids that, if you following, you a coward. If you created something yourself, and people are following, I'm with that. But all of them are following to me," says Epps.
