Safaree has come forward to respond to critics who've been out to clown him over the armed robbery that he confessed to falling victim to, during a recent appearance on Power 101.5's The Angie Martinez Show. In a series of messages that the rapper and VH1 reality television star released on social media, he insists that his public gripe over the incident is not about jewelry he may have lost, but about trauma.

"Seeing your life flash b4 your eyes is a life changing experience. Nothing funny about it. It's probably only funny to ppl who don't have anything or never experienced it. My uncle was killed in a robbery so when thinking about my situation all I think about is him," wrote Safaree, who's uncle Vincent Roper was stabbed to death in his Palmdale California home last Summer. "Thank God I'm still alive. They want me broken, but all the did was make a beast out of me!!" he'd later add.

In the days since Safaree broke the news of his robbery live on the air, two out of the three suspects believed to have been involved have been arrested. They were snagged in a hot police pursuit that came to an end soon after the black Cadillac Escalade they were driving crashed into a barrier.
