In light of domestic abuse allegations surrounding Fabolous, 50 Cent decided to troll the situation by posting a meme of the "Make Me Better" rapper looking like Ike Turner. The late musician was surrounded by domestic abuse allegations involving his ex-wife Tina Turner, which was depicted in the 1993 film, What's Love Go to Do with It. Turner also commented on Tina's claims of abuse during an 1985 interview with SPIN, saying, "Yeah I hit her, but I didn't hit her more than the average guy beats his wife ... If she says I abused her, maybe I did."
Fabolous was charged with third-degree aggravated assault and third-degree terroristic threats after police were called to his New Jersey home over a domestic issue. He was later released, and according to a press release from the Englewood Police Department, the charges “will be referred to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office for further disposition.”
