California rapper, Lil Xan recently fell victim to the harsh drawbacks of being opinionated when talking down on rap legends, after he downplayed the influence of 2Pac during a recent interview with REVOLT.

During the interview, Xan was given a selection of rappers whose characters extended beyond music. Whenever 2Pac's name was brought up, Xan stoically gave it a 2. Hip-hop at large was swift with the backlash, and it’s caused Xan to backpedal on his comments. Waka Flocka banned Xan from hip-hop and during a recent meet and greet a high schooler attempted to get physical with Xan about his words. Rich Homie Quan also called Xan, “The wackest rapper in the game right now.”

Xan said that his words were taken out of context and condemned the site for publishing what he said. He also recently changed his name to Diego and made a post requesting his fans pray for him as he’s been going through some harsh mental times recently.

Now, Xan is making it known that he is a 2Pac fan and he recently showcased his love for the legend on stage. In a video clip posted to Instagram, Xan can be seen performing some of the lyrics to Shakur’s classic ‘California Love’ to a room full of fans.
