The 18-year-old brother of confessed Marjory Stoneman Douglass High School shooter Nikolas Cruz, was arrested on Monday for trespassing on the school's campus. Zachary Cruz was warned to stay away from the campus by faculty and staff but defied the ban and surveillance cameras caught the teen riding his skateboard around campus. When stopped by police, Cruz told authorities that he was there to “reflect on the school shooting and soak it in.”
Zachary Cruz, who was living Palm Beach County at the time of the February 14 massacre, was put under mental evaluation after the shooting. According to the Palm Beach Post, Cruz told investigators, “I don’t want to be alive. I don’t want to deal with this stuff,” although later commenting on his mental status assuring investigators that he was fine.
