A SXSW showcase got shut down when a bomb threat was falsely placed.

Fans were highly disappointed to learn the Bud Light x The Roots & Friends Jam was not going on as planned. Trevor Weldon Ingram was arrested last night for claiming that there was going to be a violent attack on Fair Market. The area was where the Roots were supposed to perform but ended up getting canceled due to Bud Light's precautionary call, who was the event's sponsor.

Though the there was no immediate confirmation of the threat being valid, shutting down the showcase was in the best interest of the city who's been dealing with a series of homemade bomb explosions in the city during the previous week.

The Austin, Texas government Twitter account posted an event incident statement regarding the severe matter. It explained that a Live Nation Music representative contacted the Austin Police Department about a notice of a threat they received by email Saturday afternoon.

The 26-year-old was taken in by authorities on charges of making terroristic threats.

Fortunately, the officers checked the event area and didn't find any bomb. The next motions of disciplinary action towards Ingram committing the third-degree felony have not yet been detailed.
