Black Panther is the most successful worldwide release of a feature film this year grossing over $1 billion globally. Now, it looks like Marvel Studios is looking to capitalize off of the success of the live-action film by re-releasing the Marvel Knights animated series of Black Panther that originally aired on BET in November of 2011.

The series didn't exactly pass the test of longevity, as it lasted only six episodes on the network. However, it featured heavy-hitters in the culture with Djimon Hounsou voicing the role of T'Challa/Black Panther, Stan Lee himself as General Wallace, Jill Scott voicing Storm, Kerry Washington playing Princess Shuri as well as some other notable and recognizable voices in the entertainment industry play roles in the animated series.

The television show follows the direct storyline from the feature film and comic book as T'Challa is forced to adjust becoming the king of Wakanda after the assassination of his father, T'Chaka. All six episodes of Black Panther the animated series is currently available via YouTube and run about 20 minutes each.

Representation in film and television has become a hot-button topic around the world and silver screen presentations featuring a majority black/minority cast can fill seats, and Black Panther is proof of that.
