When you think about illegal immigrants, Iggy Azalea might not come to mind. The talented Australian left her home country at the young age of 16. She told her parents she was just visiting America, but when she got to the US, she decided to stay. Against her parent's wishes, Iggy remained in America, living in both Miami and Houston. She chased her dreams of fame in some of the country's most cultured cities. Soon, Iggy earned her GED and was granted a visa that expired after six years. She worked illegally in the country for several months.

Iggy was granted an O-Visa in 2013. The pass is a special work visa for non-citizens that are celebrities and prestigious business people. It allows them to travel and perform. Still, it does not make the holder an American. Luckily for Iggy, she received her permanent papers this week.

"Guess what! Tell them the news, because we're all immigrants. Immigrant club," Iggy states in a video she posted on social media. She is joined by two friends. "I got accepted into America forever! I just got my stamp," exclaims Iggy. The caption for her video reads, "I got approved for a green card."
