Lil Xan, also known as Diego, has some new music on the way.

Lil Xan is itching for some positive press, and the announcement of a release date for his debut album is exactly what his fans have been waiting for. Xan, who attempted to ditch his drug-influenced rap name for his birth name of Diego, has been facing a wall of negative press after calling Tupac's music "boring."

He subsequently stated that he would quit doing interviews, furious with Revolt TV for airing his Tupac statements. Waka Flocka Flame banned Xan from hip-hop after his statements and king of the south T.I. backed him up. It seems like Xan isn't going anywhere anytime soon though.

Xan posted the release date for his album on his Instagram story. "Album April 6th, Ya'll ready," wrote Xan in the post. He has been teasing the Total Xanarchy project for months. YG, 2 Chainz, Rae Sremmurd, Diplo, Charli XCX, and $teven Cannon have all been confirmed by Xan to be featured on the album.

Xan signed to Colombia records off the strength of his single "Betrayed," which peaked at number 64 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. Hopefully, Xan's album will help dispel some of the bad press from the Revolt TV interview.
