Juelz Santana became one of hip-hop's heavyweights in the early 2000's off the strength of his scene-stealing verses and unapologetic New York attitude. The Harlem born rapper spent several years in relative obscurity before returning to the music scene just in time for a Dipset reunion. Unfortunately, the Dipset member is facing serious charges after fleeing TSA in New Jersey last week.

Last Friday, security personnel at New Jersey's Newark International Airport found a loaded .38-caliber handgun and oxycodone pills without a prescription in a carry-on bag that also included Juelz's identification. Once discovered, Juelz fled the airport, leaving his bags behind. He spent the weekend avoiding the authorities before he turned himself in on Monday.

Juelz entered a not-guilty plea in court on Wednesday. He is being charged with two weapons charges (possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and carrying a weapon on an aircraft), and a drug possession charge for the eight oxycodone pills found in his bag. His next court hearing is scheduled for April 9. Juelz will remain in jail pending a preliminary hearing for his federal weapons charges on March 26. Juelz's camp has yet to release a statement regarding the incident.
