Four months after his arrest for a domestic violence incident that got him cut from the Chiefs, the wife of former NFL lineman, Roy Miller, returned to court this week to file for divorce and to take out a temporary restraining order that sheds light on the nature of abuse she alleges to have fallen victim to at his hands.
Nicole Miller claims that since botching his $1.4 million one-year Kansas City deal with the November attack, Roy has come undone not only as an individual and a husband but as a father. According to the Mrs. - Miller has been drinking incessantly. What's most concerning about it though, is the violence and negligence that typically follows after he hits the bottle, she claims. Nicole says that it has gotten so out of hand that it's begun to erode his ability to parent sufficiently.
In addition to the depths that she claims their children have seen Miller's lifestyle descend to, Nicole's grievance also concerns the memory of them having witnessed the beating he is reported to have put on their mother. The altercation got so physical, that at one point Miller ripped one of her braids out, according to documents.
The documents also take up the issue with some of the financial moves Miller has been making lately. She cites having recently noticed that he's been incrementally removing money from their joint bank account. Up until this point, Miller has allegedly taken over $400,000 out in what Nicole Miller believes is an attempt to deny some of what he'd be ordered to pay her in a potential divorce settlement.
