Black Panther is still going strong at the box office and recently crossed the $1 billion mark worldwide. Marvel is now confirming that the Ryan Coogler directed film will have a sequel.

Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, confirmed the news to Entertainment Weekly on Friday. While he assured fans that there would definitely be a part 2 coming, he made it clear that there are no concrete details to share about the project.

"Nothing specific to reveal, other than to say we absolutely will do that," Feige said. "One of the favorite pastimes at Marvel Studios is sitting around on a Part One and talking and dreaming about what we would do in a Part Two. There have been plenty of those conversations as we were putting together the first Black Panther. We have ideas and a pretty solid direction on where we want to head with the second one."

Black Panther has dominated at the box office since its opening weekend. It has earned more than $500 million domestically, which puts it in the top 10 of the highest grossing films of all time. Globally, it surpassed the $1 billion mark after making $48.2 million in its first weekend in China. It's only the 33rd movie in history to achieve this feat.
