Two of Suge Knight's attorneys were charged with witness tampering have pleaded not guilty to charges that they paid several people for fake testimonies. The two men were arrested in January but were quite adamant about their innocence during their hearing on Friday. This, despite the prosecution claiming they have audio recordings of Matthew Fletcher and Thaddeus Culpepper discussing the distribution of funds to several people in exchange for favorable testimonies.

A couple of lawyers who've defended Suge Knight in the lead up to his upcoming murder trial have been indicted on charges stemming from alleged attempts to bribe witnesses and if found guilty, may face more than three years behind bars.

On March 16, attorneys Matthew Fletcher and Thaddeus Culpepper will be arraigned on criminal conspiracy charges that include counts for witness tampering and obstruction of justice. The Los Angeles County prosecutors announced the developments after the pair were brought in for a court hearing and were released on their own recognizance on Monday, March 5.

Fletcher and Culpepper are accused of offering tens of thousands of dollars to several people from whom they requested testimony on Knight's behalf in return. For example, after telling Knight that he'd need between $20,000 and $25,000 to free him, Fletcher went out and connected with an informant was reportedly offered cash if he agreed to help Knight out on the stand.

A conviction in the case could result in the attorneys receiving up to 44 months prison time. Knight has incrementally lost some of those who've worked his corner to fight the 2015 homicide and attempted murder he is facing for running over former friend Terry Carter, who was killed, and Cle Sloan.
