They say numbers don't lie.

Last week, Tekashi 6ix9ine shook up the New York scene when he proclaimed himself the king. Nobody in the Big Apple takes kindly to claims of dominion, and subsequently, several New York rappers came back at Tekashi. 6ix9ine's motives seem to be publicity based, but diss records and disparaging comments have been aimed at the rapper since he made his claim. Brooklyn lyricist Joey Bada$$, who has been keeping the spirit of vintage New York hip-hop alive, doesn't think Tekashi has the numbers to back up his claims.

“All that king talk is cool and all but I just made 100+ racks yesterday off features,” wrote Bada$$ on his Instagram story. From there, he runs down a list of his quarterly earnings. “Another quarter mil off ghostwriting. Another 120K off an endorsement (front end). Not to mention the half a mil I brought in from touring about a month ago plus I’m going on tour AGAIN, in April. Plus another 300K in royalties coming in this month... Sheesh and that's just the first quarter, ” wrote Bada$$.

Although Tekashi has made an appearance on Billboard with his single "Gummo," 6ix9ine cannot boast the same numbers as Bada$$.
