Diddy's comments about hip-hop becoming over saturated with too many rappers doing the same thing apparently put the battery in Funk Flex's back to get more specific than Diddy did, by actually naming names.

Hours after Diddy posted a PSA to Instagram in which he balanced an expressed appreciation for the thirst the new generation of rappers have, with a critique on how them rushing to flood the scene has ultimately led to some of them becoming "part of the noise" - Flex came through and listed Lil Pump, Lil Yachty, G-Eazy, and Nicki Minaj in the comments. He would then re-post the recording with a caption that invited followers to tag rappers they believe to be "wack."

Thus far, neither Pump, G-Eazy, nor Nicki has responded to Flex referencing them, but Yachty did step up, responding, "don't start wit me flex." Flex wasn't going to allow the Quality Control rapper to have the last word on the matter though, and came back with a sarcastic retort, writing, "Yup! Lil Yachty, don't want Migos to make a song about me! You right!"

While one might be able to see why Flex would couple artists like Lil Pump and Yachty together, seeing how they are peers in a game that functions off of streams and social media marketing, some may think it's peculiar that he'd throw Nicki in the mix. It's been over three years since Nicki dropped an album, but her features, including Yo Gotti's "Rake It Up," in recent years have topped the charts.
