Former player and current NBA analyst Jalen Rose commented on the FBI investigation into the NCAA, during the NBA Primetime pregame show Saturday night. Rose has been vocal about the hypocrisy of the NCAA for years. College sports is a billion-dollar industry in which everyone in and around the game makes money except the players. It fostered an underground economy in which players accept payments under the table, that often pails in comparison to what everyone else is making.

During the telecast, he called on college basketball players to boycott the upcoming March Madness basketball tournament.

"Don't play in the NCAA tournament. Send a message young fellas...go for the money" Rose said.

He also talked about how even though the NCAA generates billions in revenue, they're still able to operate as a nonprofit 5013c organization. Rose is all too familiar with how unfair the NCAA can be. He played for one of the most famous college basketball teams of all time while at the University of Michigan. Nicknamed "The Fab Five," they became a cultural phenomenon. Nike and The University of Michigan capitalized off the teams' success making millions during the Fab Five era.

Despite everyone else profiting off their hard work, the NCAA eventually erased the record books of the teams' wins because a member of the team accepted extra benefits outside of his scholarship. The current investigation may soon lead to college players being compensated what they deserve. Only time will tell.
