Russell Westbrook is arguably the most fierce competitor in the entire NBA and refuses to bow down to anyone while the bright lights and the clock are running. Over the course of the season, we've seen a developing rivalry take place between the Russell Westbrook-led Oklahoma City Thunder and Kevin Durant's Golden State Warriors.

With the current season series being pretty balanced and having the intensity of two teams who've shared years of hatred more and more basketball enthusiasts are anticipating and hoping for a Warriors/Thunder playoff matchup which has a strong possibility of taking place this spring.

This particular exhibition game that took place last evening, February 24th, resulted in a blowout win by the Warriors with a box score total of 112-80 with Kevin Durant leading all scorers with 28 points but did end up getting chippy during a play that involved Russ driving down the lane between two defenders.

As you can see in the highlight provided above, Westbrook attempted to lay-up the ball over Warriors guard, Nick Young, missing the attempt and striving to get his own rebound resulting in the two getting tangled up and hitting the hardwood. Warriors center, Zaza Pachulia, also clumsily and possibly intentionally came tumbling down right onto Westbrook's left knee.

According to Westbrook and the hesitation prior to the fall in the video evidence, Russell believes Pachulia intentionally fell on his leg in order to injure the guard which could have been a devastating blow for the remainder of the Thunder's season. Russ even had some not so nice words for Zaza following the game while speaking to media.

It looks like this Warriors/Thunder rivalry will be around for years to come if you ask us. With that said, do you think Zaza intentionally fell on Westbrook's leg during this play? Drop your thoughts in the comment section below.
