Unless he's taking the time out to stick it to President Trump, Gregg Popovich isn't usually a man of many words - although, his typically brief retorts are famous for saying all there is to know about what he's feeling at any particular moment. Such was the case when he passed Nuggets coach Michael Malone in the hall after the Spurs dropped Friday night's (February 23) contest in Denver. "Bulls**t," Pop blurted out, to chuckles from reporters who were getting Malone's thoughts on the 122-119 victory.

Because Popovich dropped the quick expletive while transitioning past his counterpart, it can only be speculated whether he was remarking on any specific thing he might have said, or if the legendary grump was simply being dismissive of anything that could have possibly come out of Malone's mouth. But what is known is that when he hollered it, Malone had just gotten through talking up Serbian star Nikola Jokic as deserving of MVP consideration - and he was leaning into a rant that was accusatory of the game's officials, who Malone believes was unfair.

There are many, particularly in Colorado, who might feel the need to stop Pop in his tracks and insist that he take it back if the comment was made in contention of Malone's assessment of Jokic. The 6'10" big man is averaging 17.2 points and 10.6 rebounds and appears to be getting hotter by the day; registering his third consecutive triple-double with Friday's performance (28 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists).
